My Little Stompy

So, I'm sure you all remember the My Little Pony phase. Or at least one of them, as they were first popular in the 80's, then the 90's, and now they're back again, with a new TV show. But this post isn't about the massive following that My Little Pony has now. Oh, no. This is about Stompy. Kind of. And also My Little Pony.

One of the most favourited deviations on Deviantart last year was a My Little Pony creator. So of course I had to check it out, and make a Stompy!

Unfortunately, this is as short and chubby as I could make him. And I had to go through about a bajillion different manes and tails. But still, he's pretty darn cute, no?

Oh, and if you want to make your own ponies, or your own Stompy, here is the link to the My Little Pony creator.
Actually, I'd be interested to see if any of you make your own Stompy with it. So on the off chance that you do, please show me!

He's mighty popular already!

Yep, another Stompy post! I've had some very good feedback about young Stompy here, and I must say I'm rather chuffed.
I say, look at me going all fancy! I should make Stompy fancy too, for such an auspicious occasion.

There he is! Doesn't he look splendidly dashing?

Also, it has been suggested that I make available to you all plush Stompy toys. I'm not sure how plausible this is, but the first thing it would depend on is demand. So, I submit to you all, would you purchase a plush Stompy toy if they were available?

He walks among us...

Who walks among us? HE does, of course. You know....Bigfoot. And it's me.

The average shoe size for women in Australia is about a 7 or 8 by US measurement (That's about a 38-39 in European sizing). On a good day, I can get away with size 11 (42) shoes. On a REALLY good day, I can squeeze into a 10 (that's a 42). So, you can see that my feet are pretty huge.

Luckily, I'm kinda tall, so my feet don't look hugely out of proportion to the rest of me.

See? They don't look too bad, huh?
Yes, that's a Krillin. And I don't really HATE dubstep, but there
are a LOT of things that I would rather listen to...

But then you compare them with something, and can really see how big they are. Until standard tissue boxes are increased in size by about 20%, I will never be able to wear tissue boxes as shoes. I haven't yet decided if that's a good thing...

That's quite a bit of overhang!

Mum used to say that I could save a lot of money as a swimmer, because I wouldn't need to buy flippers. She first said this back when I was aboooooout....ten years old, I believe. Her feet are a bit above the average size, round about a size 9. When I was ten, I could comfortably wear her shoes.
As it stands now, I have the same size feet as most of my male friends. This means that when we go bowling or ice skating, when the person behind the counter asks for shoe sizes, I can just wait for one of them to give their size and then say "same for me, please!".

But there is most definitely a bad side to being a girl with giant feet. It's much easier to get your feet stepped on, but that doesn't really bother me at all. It's finding nice dress shoes that's the problem. Basketball shoes, Converse and other sweet kicks aren't a problem, because I can just get men's sizes. However, if I need some nice shoes for work, or for a formal occasion, excursions to shoe stores almost always end in disappointment.
I'm pretty much used to that now, though. Sometimes I even like to have a little fun with the staff of shoe stores:

*Here I am looking around in a shoe store*
Shop assistant: "Hello there, can I help you?"
Me: "That depends. What's the largest size you carry in women's shoes?"
Shop assistant: "Oh, we go ALL the way up to a 40!"
(She seemed genuinely proud of this)

It was at this point that I shook my head, pulled some puppy-dog eyes on her and said "I'm beyond help", and trudged dejectedly out of the store.

More fancy nails :3

Oh come on, you all grew up watching this too!
Although, one time in Primary School, a teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I said Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.....>.>

Resolutions

So, technically today marks the end of the first week of 2012, unless you want to argue with me and say that it ends when Sunday finishes, because Sunday is the end of a week, but that would be EIGHT DAYS and we all know that ONE week is SEVEN days. But I digress.
.....by the way, I originally tried to post this on Saturday the 7th, but my slow internet had other ideas :c

What I ACTUALLY wanted to say was that like pretty much everybody else out there, I DID make a couple of resolutions for the new year. And here they are, for your amusement:

1. Leave everything as I found it, or tidier. This way, people are slightly more likely to want me to visit them again. Only slightly though, I've still gotta work on that whole 'weird' thing that I've got going for me >.>

2. Spend less money on things that I don't really need. Seriously, I have like, twenty Rubik's Cubes and countless figurines of things that I can't really justify. The replica Zat gun, however, was totally worth it!

3. Draw something every day. There's no real reason behind this one, apart from the fact that I like drawing, and this is a good excuse. This one is actually going quite well so far!

And because I can't post without a picture, here's a picture of Stompy and myself looking worried about something...

That's Stompy

This is Stompy.
He is a chubby little unicorn.
He has an evil twin, but we don't talk about him very often.
He has since had a nice haircut.
